Nice piece

Eclipsing Winter

snowmelt showers
from the roof
as if the blue skies emptied
without clouds,

percussion drops
splatter
in newborn mud,

reflections of naked trees
gyrate
with each ripple

and though cold,
I dip my bare toes
in the frigid puddle

and join the ritual dance
to celebrate winter’s departure
